What You’ll Do
- Provide general orthopedic surgery coverage during the scheduled period
- Respond to 24-hour call needs and manage on-call responsibilities
- Perform orthopedic evaluations and consults (expected volume not guaranteed)
- Manage ED visits for closed reductions and related admissions (expected volume not guaranteed)
- Perform orthopedic surgeries as needed, including fracture care and I&D for long bone trauma
- Coordinate patient stabilization and ensure transfer as clinically indicated
- Maintain required credentialing and documentation throughout the assignment
What You Need
Required - Board Certification
- Active North Carolina (NC) medical license
- Active NC DEA (must be tied to an NC address)
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements for Medicaid/Medicare
- Enrolled with PECOS as a provider
- Vaccination requirement: Provider must be vaccinated
- NPI# included in the bid/submission
- On-call proximity: Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital at all times on call
