Our VA outpatient clinic located in Parkersburg West Virginia offers primary care and specialty health services, including mental health services, laboratory services, immunizations, X-rays, and more. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Major Duties Include: (but are not limited to)
- Provide medical services to Veterans (mostly male) on an outpatient basis in the primary care setting. Disease processes include, but are not limited to: diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, mental health disorders, etc., with a major focus on preventive medicine.
- Lead the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) approach in the delivery of care, which emphasizes a team-based approach to health
- Document all medical information in an electronic medical record.
- Perform medication reconciliation.
- Provide effective delivery of outpatient care while meeting and exceeding compliance standards.
- Maintain current clinical privileges, licensure, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and all other requirements as appropriate.
- Cooperate with, and participate in, medical duties or functions related to quality of care and peer review along with improvement/performance improvement activities at the direction of the Chief of the Medical Service.
- All other duties assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. (subject to change, depending on the needs of the service.)
