HonorHealth is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Ambulatory Palliative Care Physician with experience or passion for cancer care.  This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding interdisciplinary team in the highly desirable Phoenix/Scottsdale area. You will help shape and grow outpatient palliative care services within a physician-led, innovative health system.

About the Role

As an Ambulatory Faculty Palliative Care Physician, you will provide comprehensive outpatient care to patients with serious illness with emphasis on oncology patients.  You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team while contributing to program development and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core Faculty HonorHealth Palliative Care Fellowship Program
  • Provide outpatient palliative care in clinic setting
  • Manage complex symptoms (pain, dyspnea, fatigue, etc.)
  • Lead goals-of-care discussions and advance care planning
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams (APPs, social work, chaplaincy, nursing)
  • Coordinate care with primary care and specialty providers
  • Contribute to program expansion and innovation
  • Optional teaching and mentorship opportunities

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related field
  • Arizona medical license (or eligibility)
  • Excellent communication and patient-centered care philosophy
