Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will help people needing cardiology care get the best possible care from start to finish so they can recover well and get back to living their lives.

Every day you will be deeply involved in every step of a patient's cardiology journey, whether in the clinic, the catheterization lab/interventional suite, or in the hospital. You will be expected to help out in interventional procedures, check on patients in the hospital, lead rounds, manage their care after procedures, and explain things clearly to patients and their families, acting as their main guide and supporter.

To be successful in this role, you must be a skilled and caring provider who loves working with a team, strives for excellent cardiovascular outcomes, and truly cares about patients.

  • Provide in-person patient care during typical Cardiologist clinic hours and elective interventional schedules on weekdays
  • Provide coverage for Inpatient consults and rounding as needed.
  • Conduct pre-operative/pre-procedure assessments, patient education, and post-operative/post-procedure management.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team regarding treatment plans and progress.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active Physician Assistant (PA) license or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the State of Colorado
  • Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) certification (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner board certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or Provisional Prescriptive Authority (RXN-P) in Colorado, if applicable for role with associated articulated plan.

$44.55 - $103.00 /hour
