West Virginia University Health System and the Department of Emergency Medicine are rapidly expanding our urgent care locations. Now serving West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania- we are seeking to hire experienced physicians to join our team.

Duties:  The successful candidate will practice in Urgent Care.  In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate may also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.

Location: North Central WV is consistently rated as one of the best small metropolitan areas in the country for both lifestyle and business climate. The area offers the cultural diversity and amenities of a large city in a safe, family-friendly environment. This assignment is based in Elkins, WV- about 45-minutes from WVU's Level 1 Trauma Center- J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. 

Elkins is surrounded by the Monongahela National Forest, providing opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives. Popular spots include Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, a 10,215-acre preserve known for its unique landscapes and trails, and Bickle Knob Observation Tower, which offers panoramic views of the Appalachian Mountains The Tourist Checklist+1. The Cheat Summit Fort and Elkins City Park are also great for exploring nature and enjoying recreational activities
