UnityPoint Health – Des Moines is seeking a BC/BE Hepatologist to join its established Center for Liver Disease. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic liver disease throughout Central Iowa.

Join an experienced practice with physician and APP support, outstanding nursing staff, and access to a broad network of specialists. Enjoy an outpatient-focused practice with no call responsibilities, protected administrative time, Epic EMR, and the resources of one of Iowa's leading nonprofit health systems.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Outpatient-only hepatology practice
  • No weekday or weekend call
  • Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
  • Established practice with physician and APP support
  • Experienced nursing team
  • FibroScan available on-site
  • Epic EMR
  • Approximately 12-14 patients per day
  • Access to a multidisciplinary network of specialists
  • 4 hours of protected administrative time each week
  • Visa sponsorship available (H-1B & J-1 Waiver)

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Fellowship training or significant clinical expertise in Hepatology/Transplant Hepatology preferred
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Iowa
