The William N. Pennington Cancer Institute is seeking a Hematology Oncology Physician  to join our expanding team at the forefront of cancer care. We are in the midst of a significant growth initiative to build the first NCI-designated Cancer Center in Northern Nevada, a major milestone in our mission to provide exceptional, evidence-based care close to home. The partnership between Renown Health and the University of Nevada Reno, School of Medicine creates a dynamic foundation for clinical research, educational excellence, and mentorship. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will not only provide world-class care but also have the chance to contribute to groundbreaking research and mentor the next generation of medical professionals.

Position Highlights:

  • Join a multidisciplinary cancer care team that includes 8 medical oncologists (+ 7 APPS), 4 Radiation Oncologists, 1 neuro-oncologist, 3 oncologic surgeons, 4 colorectal surgeons, 2 thoracic surgeons, 3 breast surgeons, 2 cancer urologists, 1 oncology orthopedic surgeon, and 1 endocrine surgeon, all committed to a collaborative approach to patient care.
  • State of the art new multidisciplinary breast center, opened in 2025.
  • Modern and advanced Radiation Oncology Suites with a new (2026) CT & PET CT simulator
  • 25-chair Infusion Center at Renown Regional medical Center and a 15-chair infusion center imbedded in the Conrad Breast Center. Additional infusion chairs will be added in early 2029.
  • In process to start CAR-T cell Program (2026)
  • Comprehensive support: Advanced Practice Providers, Care Coordinators, Pharmacists, Nurse Navigators, Psychosocial Services, and Palliative Care to ensure the best possible patient experience.
