Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Wisconsin's largest non-profit healthcare system is seeking a Telemedicine Infectious Disease Physician to join the team!
- Oversee/mentor current and new APP staff
- See new and established inpatient and ambulatory ID patients through video visits (Doximity)
- Review referrals and determine urgency
- Close collaboration with surgeons, hospitalists and intensivists
- Support Antimicrobial Stewardship and attend meetings
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Use Epic functionality to communicate with support staff
- Close encounters promptly (ideally same day)
- Develop clear escalation pathways for urgent issues
- Attend staff meetings
The physicians have excellent support staff, within the department itself and the organization overall, including Advanced Practice Clinicians as well as infusion and wound care nursing staff. The providers also have a close working relationship with ThedaCare Home Care services. The physicians have an established, collaborative relationship with the hospitals through pharmacy & therapeutics, infection control and quality initiatives. A full time hospitalist program supports inpatient care; infectious disease is a consulting service only.
