PATHS is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care in our Danville clinic. You'll join an experienced, collaborative care team practicing evidence-based medicine within a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), caring for patients across the lifespan while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Schedule

  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Monday-Friday
  • Shared rotating call for evenings and weekends

What You'll Do

As a member of the PATHS care team, you'll provide comprehensive primary care while building long-term relationships with patients and families.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing
  • Prescribe medications and manage refills
  • Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care
  • Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles
  • Review laboratory and imaging results with patients
  • Maintain timely documentation within eClinicalWorks
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provider meetings

Qualifications

Required

  • Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Virginia
  • Current DEA registration
  • Eligible to bill Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance

Preferred

  • Board Certification
  • Experience practicing in an FQHC
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks
