Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat behavioral health conditions
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Order laboratory testing and appropriate referrals
- Monitor treatment response through ongoing follow-up visits
- Coordinate care with behavioral health providers and families
- Complete timely electronic documentation
- Participate in shared on-call coverage
- Support quality improvement initiatives and community health programs
Qualifications
Required
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant eligible to practice in Virginia
- Current DEA registration
- CPR Certification
- CAQ in Psychiatry (for Physician Assistants, as applicable)
- Credentialed for Medicare/Medicaid billing
Preferred
- Board Certification
- Experience in outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health
Location
This position is based in Danville, Virginia, with occasional travel to additional PATHS locations, including:
- Boydton
- Chatham
- Martinsville
- South Boston
