We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to become a member of our staff providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This role includes comprehensive orthopedic care in both an outpatient Rural Health Clinic setting and an inpatient Critical Access Hospital environment. The physician will combine high-impact rural medicine with a supportive collaborative practice that prioritizes patient access, continuity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outpatient clinic visits in a Rural Health Clinic setting, such as evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal injuries, disorders, and diseases for patients of all ages
  • Perform orthopedic procedures including fracture care, joint injections, casting/splinting, and minor surgical interventions with the scope of the Critical Access Hospital capabilities
  • Provide orthopedic consultation for emergency department cases, inpatients, and observation patients
  • Participate in hospital call coverage rotation, ensuring timely response to urgent orthopedic needs
  • Five (5) days a week splitting time between rural clinics

Qualifications & Skills

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • BC or BE in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Valid medical license to practice in State of Kansas
  • Commitment to compassionate, accessible care for underserved rural populations
  • Experience in a rural or Critical Access Hospital setting preferred but not required
