Opportunity Highlights
- Growing outpatient Rheumatology practice
- Full-time employed position
- Two physician openings
- Monday-Thursday: 7:45 AM-5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:45 AM-12:30 PM
- No weekday or weekend call
- Telemedicine available
- Established practice with 3 Rheumatologists and 3 Advanced Practice Providers
- Average outpatient volume of approximately 20 patients per day

Academic & Professional Development
Physicians enjoy opportunities to grow professionally while helping educate the next generation of physicians.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching residents, fellows, interns, and medical students
- Participating in clinical and educational research
- Presenting and participating in educational conferences and professional development activities
- Collaborating on quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice development
- Participating in peer review, medical audits, and multidisciplinary quality initiatives
- Working alongside an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
Practice Responsibilities
Physicians will provide comprehensive outpatient rheumatologic care while:
- Developing individualized treatment plans
- Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team
- Supervising residents and medical students
- Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Building relationships with referring providers throughout the region
- Supporting Cone Health's mission of clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate patient care
Qualifications
- MD or DO (or equivalent medical degree recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
- Completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship
- Eligible for unrestricted North Carolina medical licensure
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Excellent communication and collaborative practice skills
