Sanford Health is seeking two BC/BE fellowship trained Interventional Cardiologists to establish and grow a new Interventional Cardiology service line in Rapid City, South Dakota.

• This is a unique opportunity for a physician who is excited by program development and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of cardiovascular care across western SD and the surrounding region
• The successful candidate will work closely with Sanford Health leadership, referring providers, and regional specialists to build a thriving interventional practice
• Opportunity to help define clinical strategy, referral development, and service growth
• The clinical practice in the building phase will be approximately 50% General Cardiology / 50% Interventional Cardiology
• As the interventional practice matures, the procedural component is expected to grow with increasing referral volume
• Provide Interventional Cardiology services, including coronary and peripheral interventions based on training and experience.
• Participate in call coverage
• Existing cath lab in the Sanford Black Hills Surgical Hospital
• Imaging - MRI, CT, PET, and Echo available
• Inpatient consults at the Sanford Black Hills Surgical Hospital, low volume
• Transfer agreement in place to local hospital for cardio-thoracic surgery support if needed.

Black Hills Surgical Hospital is a nationally recognized Major Orthopedic and Spine center of excellence by Blue Cross Blue Shields Blue Distinction and Healthgrades as excellent in nationwide survey, is seeking a seasoned Anesthesiologist. The primary focus of BHSH is providing cutting edge total joint replacement, extensive Sport Medicine, Ortho and Neuro spine, Gen Ortho, ENT, Gen Surg, Plastics and GYN. New care lines beginning this fall include a single Cardiac Cath lab, focused on diagnostic and interventional for non-urgent/emergent case load and occasional Vascular procedures.

The area is prime outdoors sports and recreation year-round to include hiking, fishing, hunting, both on and off-road motor sports, wildlife adventures, to mention only a few. Close by are the iconic cities of Deadwood and Sturgis offering year-round entertainment for both adult and family experience. Population of 79,000 and growing with industry and tourism as the major economic contributors, near nonexistent traffic and unique shopping experiences downtown.
