What Youll Do
As an FNP in our walk-in clinic, you will serve as a primary provider treating acute, non-life-threatening conditions for patients of all ages (pediatric through geriatric).
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses (e.g., respiratory infections, flu, strep, UTI, skin infections).
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing/laceration repair, incision & drainage, splinting, foreign body removal).
- Conduct physical exams (e.g., school/sports physicals, DOT physicals, pre-employment screenings).
- Interpret basic diagnostic tests, point-of-care lab work, and on-site X-rays.
- Educate patients on preventative care, wellness, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate seamlessly with our clinical support staff and medical directors.
- On-site Lab & X-ray, Occupational Health, Allergy Treatments, IV Therapy, etc.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) via AANP or ANCC.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Family Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Indiana.
- Prescriptive Authority: Active Indiana CSR and Federal DEA license.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification (DOT Certified Examiner credential is a plus!).
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in Urgent Care, Walk-In, Emergency Medicine, or Family Practice preferred (motivated new grads with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply!).
