Parkview Health is actively recruiting a Neonatologist to join their well-established team in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Duties and Responsibilities
- 12-hour shifts, possibility of weekend hours
- The Neonatology team provides 24 hour/7 days a week, inpatient care
- Bedside rounding on NICU patients daily
- New patient admissions
- Patient discharges
- Inpatient prenatal consultations
- Outpatient prenatal consultations
- Inpatient newborn nursery consultations
- Transports of high-risk infants within 11-county service area.
- Phone consultations with other physician staff (at PRMC and in the community at large)
- NICU procedures including, but not limited to: Intubations, umbilical venous catheters, umbilical arterial catheters, needle thoracentesis, chest tube placement, lumbar punctures, peripherally inserted central catheters (all PICCS are placed/managed by NNP staff), peripheral artery line placement, peripheral IV placement, exchange transfusions, etc.
The Team
- Will join a team which currently consists of 6 Neonatologists and 5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at Parkview Regional Medical Center
- We provide specialized care for newborns. Our neonatologists remain within the hospital covering the Parkview Newborn Intensive Care Unit 24/7.
