The Opportunity The Division of Gastroenterology at WashU Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member (Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) to join our premier clinical and academic team. This role focuses on Luminal and General Gastroenterology, offering the opportunity to build a robust practice within a division nationally recognized for excellence in patient care and medical education.

Clinical & Academic Scope We are looking for a candidate to complement our existing expertise in:

  • Gut-brain Disorders (including IBS)
  • Women’s GI Health
  • Obscure GI Bleeding
  • Eosinophilic Esophagitis and Celiac Disease

Successful candidates will have the chance to contribute to our world-class clinical operations across the St. Louis metropolitan area, including:

  • Flagship Facilities: Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Center for Advanced Medicine on the main Washington University Medical Campus.
  • Regional Excellence: Missouri Baptist Hospital and Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.
  • Ambulatory Care: Dedicated centers at Sunset Hills and South County.

Research & Education Faculty members at WashU are immersed in an environment of cutting-edge molecular and translational research. Whether your interest lies in clinical trials for IBD, colorectal cancer research, or medical education, our division provides the infrastructure—including the NIH-funded Digestive Diseases Research Core Center—to support your professional growth.

Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent professional medical degree.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited three-year Gastroenterology fellowship.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Missouri.
