Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (WashU Medicine), in partnership with Barnes?Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, invites applications for a board?certified or board?eligible Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) cardiologist to join our nationally recognized Center for Adults with Congenital Heart Disease.
Founded in 1992, the WashU ACHD program is one of the nation’s most established, comprehensive, and high?volume ACHD centers. As an Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) accredited program, we deliver lifelong care to a broad and complex patient population drawn from across the Midwest and beyond. This position offers the opportunity to practice ACHD at the highest clinical level within a mature, multidisciplinary, tertiary–quaternary academic environment.

Clinical Practice Environment
The ACHD cardiologist will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care across the full spectrum of congenital heart disease, including:
- Longitudinal outpatient and inpatient ACHD care
- Management of complex and repaired congenital lesions, late presenters, and adults with advanced sequelae
- Access to advanced interventional and structural heart procedures, including catheter?based valve therapies and defect closure
- Integrated electrophysiology, maternal cardiology, pulmonary hypertension, and advanced heart failure/transplant services
- Participation in a formal, structured transition program for adolescents moving from pediatric to adult ACHD care
- Interest in cardiac imaging—including 2?D, 3?D, TEE, stress echocardiography, and diagnostic catheterization—is desirable.
Candidate Qualifications
- MD or DO (MD/PhD welcomed)
- Fellowship trained in Adult Congenital Heart Disease
- Board certified or board eligible in ACHD
- Board certification in adult or pediatric cardiology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Missouri
