The Atrium Health Virtual Primary Care Program is a patient-centered, system-oriented program that provides comprehensive, evidence-based obesity and metabolic health care through a fully virtual platform. This physician is a member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality weight?management services focused on obesity treatment and support for long?term wellness. Highlights:

  • 100% Virtual Primary Care
  • Full-Time Schedule: 1.0 FTE virtual primary care position; 36 patient contact hours plus 4 administrative hours
  • Four-day work week; 1:00pm to 11:00pm
  • Weekend rotation 1:14 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
  • Call coverage 1:14 (Monday at 11pm to the following Monday at 8:00am; minimal call volume)
  • Clinical assistance via virtual medical assistants and nurse triage
  • Patients can schedule directly with their virtual primary care physician, preserving the trusted physician-patient relationship found in traditional practices
  • Physician will see virtual patients in Wisconsin and Illinois
  • Employed position with comprehensive benefits package, fully funded malpractice insurance and CME allowance
  • Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
  • Experience an environment that provides safe and equitable care for all patients

 

Training and Experience

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited residency program
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
  • Maintenance of Certification required per applicable board standards
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience
  • Experience in virtual care preferred
  • Must be willing to serve as a collaborating physician for APPs
  • Although this is a remote position, the physician must reside in one of Advocate Health's approved states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY
