The Department of Pathology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Transfusion Medicine Pathologist preferably with fellowship training in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine to join our faculty.

Our transfusion service supports more than 50,000 transfusions annually, nearly 1,000 therapeutic apheresis procedures, and a wide range of quaternary care programs, including Level I Trauma, Hematology/Oncology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, stem cell transplantation, and solid organ and tissue transplantation.

The successful candidate will serve as an attending physician with expertise in all technical, clinical, and regulatory aspects of transfusion medicine. Responsibilities include oversight of transfusion service operations, consultation on complex transfusion-related issues, participation in therapeutic apheresis services, and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to medical education and scholarly activity, with experience in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Illinois is required.
