Rare opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider seeking rural practice with the benefit of clinical resources typically reserved for larger organizations. Our providers practice within an attached Rural Health Clinic (RHC) with in-house state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging including CT, Sono, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine. We also host a rehabilitation department that provides PT, OT, RT, Sleep Center, Speech Therapy and Cardiopulmonary Rehab. An extensive attached Specialty Physician Clinic currently rotates 24 specialists physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates, consults, and refers within an independent and interdependent relationship with medical staff.
  • Diagnoses and treats acute, chronic, and long-term health conditions.
  • Educates patients and families on preventive care, medical issues, and prescribed treatments.
  • Maintains accurate, confidential medical records and documents evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and referrals in a timely, regulation-compliant manner.
  • Participates in peer and quality review processes and implements constructive feedback.
  • Engages in ongoing practice-based improvement to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Utilizes health information technology to manage data and support continuing education.

Schedule:

  • The typical work week is 4 days with the Family Medicine Clinic and rotating ER call with 5 other providers, allowing great personal flexibility.
  • This position requires first call with physician support, rotating weekends and weeknights (one in four nights/ one in four weekends).
  • Holiday call will be evenly divided by all providers.
  • Separate pay for weekend and weeknight call.

Qualifications:

  • Physician Assistant or APRN degree from an accredited program.
  • Diploma from an accredited program, current state license. 
  • Must have previous experience in outpatient and emergency room settings.
