What You’ll Do
  • Provide critical care support within the ICU setting for adult patients
  • Collaborate with a team of staff APPs and supervising physicians
  • Respond to patient needs as a responding clinician, primarily managing bread-and-butter ICU cases and moderate Med Surg patients
  • Participate in morning and afternoon rounds with the attending physician
  • Respond to urgent care needs of critical patients, ensuring quality patient outcomes
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR software
  • Support patient stabilization and monitor vital signs—no procedures or complex interventions required

What You Need
Required:
  • Valid state license in Massachusetts (or eligible PAs with timely licensing)
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • DEA registration
  • 2+ years of critical care experience in ICU settings
  • Ability to work the specified schedule and respond independently

Preferred:
  • Local candidates with reliable transportation
  • Experience working in teaching hospitals or ICU environments

About the Assignment
This role is based at a top teaching hospital in Boston, providing adult ICU care in a patient-centered environment. You will work alongside compassionate medical staff, rounding with attending physicians and supporting a small but intense caseload. The ICU typically manages bread-and-butter critical cases with occasional burn admissions, without complex neuro, neuro-stroke, or transplant procedures. The schedule offers a mix of variable weekday and weekend shifts, suited for local candidates seeking flexibility and meaningful clinical engagement.
