What You’ll Do
- Support cardiothoracic surgical cases, including CABGs, robotic thoracic, and chest surgeries
- Assist during open surgeries, TAVR valves, LVAD, and Impella placements, working closely with the advanced heart failure team
- Provide first assist during surgical procedures, including endoscopic vein harvesting
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of staff and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document procedures accurately within EPIC EMR system
- Maintain compliance with all licensing and procedural standards
What You Need
Required: - Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- NC State Medical License
- Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Endoscopic vein harvesting experience
- DEA licensure
- Vaccinations as required
Preferred: - Experience with robotic thoracic surgeries and LVAD/Impella placement
- Ability to work night shifts confidently
