What You’ll Do
  • Provide labor and delivery coverage, including routine management, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries
  • Support postpartum rounding and emergency gynecologic consults
  • Work collaboratively with hospital staff in a busy OB/GYN department
  • Support approximately 500-600 births annually
  • Use EPIC for documentation and patient management
  • Float to other sites as needed, including Janesville, Baraboo, Monroe Clinic, and Madison
What You Need
  • MD/DO licensed in Wisconsin or eligible via IMLC
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
  • 1-2 years of obstetric practice experience preferred
  • Key skills: Routine labor management, cesarean, vaginal deliveries, postpartum care, gynecological emergencies
  • Willingness to work approximately 8-10 shifts per month, including weekends, with minimal high-risk obstetrics
About the Assignment
This role involves delivering high-quality obstetric care in a hospital-based setting. You will support the labor and delivery unit with routine and emergency obstetric procedures, ensuring optimal care for mothers and babies. The schedule is structured to support a healthy work-life balance, with shift lengths that facilitate continuity of care. Credentialing is expected to be completed within 60 days, and travel is billable, including airfare, lodging, and rental car or mileage, with lodging capped at $250/night.
