What You’ll Do
  • Provide general orthopedic surgical care, including wrist, ankle, and hip fracture management
  • Conduct consultations and ED visits for closed reductions and admissions (0-2 visits per day)
  • Perform 0-2 surgeries daily, including fracture repairs and incision & drainage procedures
  • Stabilize long bone trauma and coordinate transfers when necessary
  • Respond promptly to 24-hour call shifts, ensuring patient safety
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver high-quality care
  • Maintain documentation, patient assessments, and treatment plans
What You Need
Required:
  • Valid NC medical license
  • NC DEA registration
  • Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Vaccination compliance
  • Credentialing with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS

Preferred:
  • Prior experience in general orthopedic trauma operations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital setting
About the Assignment
This assignment is based at a hospital committed to providing excellent orthopedic care. Responsibilities include managing trauma cases, performing complex surgeries related to fractures, and working 24-hour call coverage. Onsite accommodations are provided in comfortable, hospital-owned apartments, with travel expenses capped at $500. Providers must be within 20 minutes of the hospital during on-call shifts.
