- Provide expert nursing support for urgent cardiothoracic surgeries, including vein harvesting and post-op care
- Support staff with patient assessments, preoperative and postoperative management
- Assist the surgical team during procedures and ensure patient safety throughout shifts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
- Practice effectively within an EPIC EMR environment
- Support patients aged 18+ through recovery from urgent and scheduled cardiac interventions
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Required:
- PA license
- DEA registration
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in cardiothoracic or related surgical nursing
- Preferred:
- Acute care certification is not required but advantageous
- Experience with vein harvesting procedures
- Ability to work in high-pressure urgent care settings
