Physician - Neurology

Your original thinking, ability to make connections, spot opportunities and envision new solutions is exactly what we’re looking for. As a Neurologist, you will contribute to the clinical, academic and administrative aspects of our EEG program while caring for a culturally diverse community.

You’ll have the opportunity to bring your ideas to the table, teach and mentor residents, collaborate with colleagues, and help move the EEG program forward through quality and process improvement. This is a 40-hour-per-week commitment, with at least 34 hours devoted to patient care and 6 hours dedicated to teaching, administration and supervision. Working in conjunction with the Division Chief, you’ll:

• Provide neurological care across inpatient, emergency, faculty practice and ambulatory settings
• Coordinate and oversee EEG program activities, ensuring medically reliable, high-quality data
• Maintain an active office-based Neurology faculty practice
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through lectures, grand rounds and research activities
• Take part in quality and process improvement initiatives and serve on hospital and department committees
• Cover clinic sessions at Article 28 sites and other off-site ambulatory care programs as needed

The ideal Neurologist must:

• Be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and Board Certified in Neurology
• Have a minimum of 6 years of demonstrated clinical experience
• Hold a New York State Medical License and NYS Department of Health Certification of Qualification
• Be an excellent communicator with experience in change management
