The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a talented Functional Neurosurgeon to join our faculty in Raleigh, NC.
As national leaders in research, patient care, and education, Duke Neurosurgery is experiencing tremendous growth and is currently seeking a candidate with great clinical acumen to provide patients with high-quality, compassionate care. This position is based predominantly at Duke Raleigh Hospital and is a 100% clinical appointment at the outset, with a scheduled review at 24 months at which protected research or administrative effort may be established.
MR-guided and low-intensity focused ultrasound procedures are performed at Duke University Hospital in Durham, and the successful candidate will practice across both sites on a schedule agreed at the time of offer. This is an opportunity to build a functional neurosurgery service in one of the fastest-growing markets in the Southeast, with the full resources of Duke Health behind it.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the growth of the Duke Center for Neurorestoration, where a Raleigh site materially expands patient access to neuromodulation for painful diabetic neuropathy, spinal cord injury, stroke recovery, and neuroimmune indications.
