Physician - Heart Failure

Position Description:

The Heart Group of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a full-time BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our team in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Our highly productive Heart Failure cardiology section of 7 physicians and 9 Advanced Practice Providers offer comprehensive subspecialty care, including Amyloid, HCM, pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital heart disease, cardio-oncology, maternal cardiology, and VAD services.

Our Advanced Heart Failure Program is nationally recognized for low heart failure readmission rates and has a long-standing history of innovation. Established in 2005 as one of the earliest community hospitals to implant VADs, the program offers a full spectrum of mechanical circulatory support devices and collaborates with four MCS cardiothoracic surgeons across all available BTT and DT platforms. We regularly collaborate with Penn Medicine’s Hospital University of Pennsylvania Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team to provide comprehensive, coordinated care for patients undergoing heart transplantation. 

Our physicians are actively involved in more than 20 clinical trials and are encouraged to participate in research and other academic endeavors. Position Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic)
• Completion of an accredited Advanced Heart Failure fellowship
• Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
