The Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute’s Department of Psychiatry and Psychology is seeking a Neuropsychiatrist to work at the Cleveland Clinic Indian River hospital in Vero Beach, Florida . The Department is undergoing a strategic expansion of Neuropsychiatric services, both in Ohio and Florida.
Currently, Cleveland Clinic Indian River has an inpatient psychiatry, consultation liaison psychiatry, and intensive outpatient psychiatry service line. With the exponential growth of neurological services offered at Indian River, including advanced therapies for Alzheimer’s Disease, the psychiatric co-management of patients with epilepsy, neurodegenerative disorders, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and Parkinson’s disease will be a key component of this position.
In addition, we seek a qualified candidate for program development for advanced psychiatry therapies such as ECT, TMS, VNS, and esketamine. Clinical trial interest and experience is highly valued, given the ongoing recruitment of clinician scientists at the Neurological Institute of Cleveland Clinic Indian River, and the tripartite mission of the Neurological Institute. This position includes an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM).
In Cleveland, in January 2027, the Neurological Institute will inaugurate a 1 million square feet, state-of-the-art Neurologic Institute building, which will afford a once-in-a-lifetime clinical, academic, and research environment for our Department, specifically our Psychiatric Treatment Resistant Program and the Neuropsychiatry section. The access to cutting edge neuroimaging, network mapping, and electrophysiology expertise within the Neurological Institute, as well as the landmark Cleveland Clinic Brain Study, are all setting the foundation for innovative interdisciplinary clinical care and discovery. Our colleagues in Florida are an integral part of this Neurological Institute mission.
