Physician - Allergy & Immunology

Duke Health is seeking an outstanding Clinical Academic Allergist/Immunologist to join the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine. This position is an excellent opportunity to practice in a highly collaborative academic environment while contributing to the clinical education of medical students, residents, and Allergy and Immunology fellows.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient consultation and longitudinal care for adults with allergic and immunologic disorders, with the option to see the children of adult patients
• Develop and maintain clinical practice with opportunities to develop a particular area of expertise in clinical immunology
• Participate in the inpatient Allergy and Immunology consultation service. Inpatient consultation responsibilities are rotated weekly among faculty, providing a predictable and equitable distribution of inpatient coverage
• Provide virtual care that will be coordinated through our Virtual Care Center for at least one clinic session

Academic Responsibilities

Duke faculty contribute to the educational mission of the Division through:

• Teaching and supervision of Allergy and Immunology fellows
• Clinical teaching of residents and medical students
• Participation in conferences, case discussions, journal clubs, and other educational activities
• Opportunities for scholarly activity, clinical research, clinical trials, and/or development of innovative programs based on the candidate's interests
