Physician - Anesthesiology

Rockford Anesthesiologists Associated, LLC is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist to join its established private practice in northern Illinois. The group's priority need is at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, with additional opportunities throughout the region.

Practice & Clinical Environment

Rockford Anesthesiologists Associated is an established private anesthesiology group with approximately 25 physicians and 25 advanced practice providers serving multiple hospital and surgical facilities throughout northern Illinois.

Physicians provide a broad range of perioperative anesthesia services and work collaboratively with CRNAs, surgeons, nursing staff and other members of the clinical team. The practice offers exposure to a diverse case mix, including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, ENT, urology, cardiovascular, pediatrics and other services based on facility needs.

The group also welcomes physicians with Pain Management expertise. For a Pain Management physician, the anticipated practice mix is approximately 70% anesthesiology and 30% pain management.

Schedule & Call

The typical workday is approximately 7:00 AM-3:00 PM. Full-time employment is the priority, although the group may consider other arrangements.

Call consists of approximately one weekday call per week and one weekend call per month and is in-house. Physicians may also have opportunities to pick up additional compensated call.

Candidate Qualifications

Qualified candidates should be:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Able to achieve board certification within five years of completing residency
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
• Current with ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications
• Comfortable working collaboratively within an anesthesia care team
• Open to APP/CRNA oversight as required
