What You’ll Do
- Support occupational health staff in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses
- Manage case work including work restrictions, return-to-work evaluations, and workers’ compensation cases
- Perform procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, suturing, splinting, and staple removal
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including PFTs, labs, and imaging results
- Conduct vaccinations and DOT physicals
- Collaborate with team on case management and patient care planning
- Maintain detailed documentation in OHM electronic health record system
What You Need
Required:
- Active Michigan license, Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- DEA license
- BLS certification
- DOT/FMCSA certification
- 2+ years of relevant occupational health experience
Preferred:
- Experience with musculoskeletal injuries and procedures
- Skilled in work restrictions, case management, and diagnostic interpretation
About the Assignment
This role is based in a busy occupational health clinic supporting a meat packing plant. You'll work closely with clinical staff providing essential services, including injury management, vaccinations, and work assessments, contributing to the health and safety of adult workers. The clinic uses the OHM occupational health platform, and the schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.
