Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Surgery

Indiana University Health Medical Group is hiring! We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Pediatrics team at Riley Hospital, IU North Hospital and IU West Hospital. 

Position Details:

• Full-time, Day shift 
• 4–10-hour days
• No call and no weekends, and no OR 1st Assist  
• 70% Outpatient and 30% Inpatient
• Team includes 8 Physicians and 8 APP'S

Patient Population:

• Pediatric patients with acute orthopedic injuries such as fractures and sports injuries, and congenital conditions including spine deformities, complex hip disorders, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and walk in clinic at outreach locations.

Procedures:

• Pin pulls, Casting, Fracture reductions

Job Description

• Evaluate and treat pediatric orthopedic patients in the clinic setting and walk in clinic. 
• Possibility to assist in operating room.

Qualifications:

• PNP, FNP, or PA certification required
• Candidate must be motivated, self-guided learner and flexible 
• Candidate must have the skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Experience within pediatrics, orthopedics, ED, Urgent Care or surgery required 
• APP experience preferred
  • new grad must have orthopedic surgery rotation completed as part of schooling
