What You’ll Do
- Provide emergency medical care to a diverse patient population
- Collaborate with APCs, physicians, and specialty teams such as General Surgery and Orthopedics
- Support telestroke and Tele ICU services to enhance patient care
- Utilize onsite UW helicopter for rapid patient transport when needed
- Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently
- Participate in coverage continuity for ongoing needs in 2027
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols
What You Need
Required: - Wisconsin Medical License (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Experience in Emergency Medicine or Acute Care settings
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred: - Certification in ACLS, ATLS, or PALS
- Prior telemedicine or telehealth experience
About the Assignment
This opportunity is based at a leading facility in Portage, WI, located just 30 minutes from Madison and 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells and scenic tourist spots. The emergency department manages approximately 40-60 patients daily, staffed by a dedicated team including APCs and physicians. With access to advanced telemedicine services and a UW helicopter on site, this assignment provides excellent support and resources to deliver top-tier emergency care.
