Franciscan Health Munster & Franciscan Health Dyer | Northwest Indiana

SCP Health is seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians for locum tenens coverage at Franciscan Health Munster and Franciscan Health Dyer in Northwest Indiana.

The Opportunity

• Two convenient Northwest Indiana locations

• Must be available to work at both facilities

• Fully cross-credentialed providers will maintain privileges at both Munster and Dyer

• Community hospital emergency medicine practice

• Approximately 15,000 annual ED visits at Franciscan Health Munster

• 63-bed acute care hospital at Munster

• Moderate-acuity emergency department

• Estimated 120+ day credentialing/privileging timeline

Requirements

• MD or DO

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency

• ABEM Board Certification required

• Active, unrestricted Indiana medical license or ability to obtain

• Indiana Controlled Substance Registration

• DEA with Indiana address and required schedules

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications or ability to obtain

• Emergency Department experience preferred

• Broad EM skill set appropriate for community hospital practice

• Ability to perform moderate sedation

Credentialing Requirements

Providers will need to submit:

• Current flu vaccination during active flu season

• TB testing within the previous 12 months or chest X-ray for positive TB history

• COVID vaccination documentation

• Two years of case logs

• CME Attestation Form

• Current malpractice coverage history with 10-year claims history

• Indiana Patient's Compensation Fund (IPCF) enrollment

• Coverys malpractice coverage requirements of $500K/$1.5M
