Profession Physician

Procedures. Autonomy. No Call. No Weekends.

Korzen Health, in partnership with Healogics and Rome Memorial Hospital, is seeking a Wound Care Physician to join an established, high-performing outpatient wound care program in Rome, NY.

This is not a traditional office-based role.

It’s a hands-on, procedure-focused position built for a physician who enjoys working with their hands, solving complex clinical problems, and seeing measurable results. You’ll spend your day evaluating wounds, performing procedures, and developing treatment plans — without sacrificing your personal time to nights, call, or weekends.

Why Physicians Take Notice

  • Procedure-heavy practice — debridements, I&Ds, biopsies, suturing, and more
  • No nights. No call. No weekends.
  • Established patient volume — walk into an existing program rather than building one from scratch
  • Predictable weekday schedule — approximately 40 hours/week
  • Outpatient environment
  • Dedicated clinical support team
  • Paid training in advanced wound care and hyperbarics
  • Opportunity to develop clinical and leadership responsibilities
  • Work with Healogics, the nation's leading wound care management organization

What Your Day Looks Like

You’ll manage patients with chronic, complex, and difficult-to-heal wounds while performing procedures that directly impact healing and outcomes.

Your practice will include:

  • Wound evaluation and treatment planning
  • Sharp and surgical debridement
  • Incision & drainage
  • Biopsies and other office-based procedures
  • Infection management
  • Advanced wound care modalities
  • Collaboration with an experienced multidisciplinary wound care team
  • Hyperbaric medicine exposure and training

This is a clinical role where your procedural skills matter every day.

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Eligible for an active New York medical license
  • DEA eligible
  • Experienced and confident with procedures
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
