• 15-bed Emergency Department

• 149-bed hospital

• 24-hour physician coverage

• 16 hours/day NP/PA coverage

QUALIFICATIONS

• MD/DO

• Completed residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine

• Board Certified in EM, FM, or IM

• Must have an active Louisiana medical license or IMLC to be presented

• Active DEA with Louisiana address

• Louisiana Controlled Substance License

• Must meet applicable requirements for supervising NP/PA providers

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• ACLS

• PALS

• ATLS required unless ABEM-certified

• ABEM-certified physicians who are actively participating in ABEM MOC do not require additional merit badges

CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS

• Case logs covering the past 2 years

• CME documentation for the past 2 years

• Current flu vaccination

• TB documentation within the past 12 months or applicable chest X-ray

• COVID vaccination

• Completion of required sedation modules during onboarding and reappointment

MALPRACTICE

• $100K/$300K coverage

• Locums providers must be enrolled in Louisiana Patient Compensation Fund (LPCF) for a minimum of 90 days at a time
