RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest integrated healthcare system, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to serve as Vice Chair of Anesthesiology at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. This opportunity combines clinical practice with departmental leadership for a physician interested in advancing high-quality anesthesia care within a collaborative healthcare environment.  The Vice Chair will work alongside departmental leadership to support clinical operations, promote patient safety and quality improvement, and strengthen collaboration across anesthesia, surgical and perioperative teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills and a commitment to supporting colleagues while contributing to the department’s continued development.

Candidate Requirements:

  • American Board of Anesthesiology certification, or board eligibility for new graduates.
  • Completion of an Anesthesiology residency; candidates with additional subspecialty or fellowship training are welcome.
  • Willingness to participate in required on-call schedules.
  • New Jersey medical licensure or eligibility for licensure; candidates with an active New Jersey license are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in physician leadership, collaboration and quality improvement.
