Nurse Practitioner - Pulmonology

Sidney Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to expand access to Pulmonology care in Sidney, Nebraska. NPs are preferred, and qualified PAs are welcome to apply. The typical clinic schedule is Monday-Thursday, with inpatient responsibilities and potential call.

Opportunity Highlights

• Typical four-day clinic schedule, Monday-Thursday; exact hours and call arrangements discussed during the interview.
• Full-time hospital employment with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
• Help meet substantial local demand: the client reports approximately 400-500 patients waiting for Pulmonology appointments.
• Work with existing specialist support and a multidisciplinary care team.
• Anticipated outpatient volume of approximately 20 patients per day.
• Epic electronic medical records and access to other specialties.
• Teaching and committee opportunities.

Your Role

Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions through assessment, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, patient education, and ongoing disease management. Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with appropriate board certification and Nebraska licensure.
• NP candidates preferred; PA candidates considered, including those with Internal Medicine and Pulmonology experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Ability to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when assigned call.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
