What You’ll Do: - Support cardiothoracic surgeons during complex procedures, including vein/radial artery harvests, chest tube placements, and vascular line management
- Perform technical and clinical tasks such as intubation, extubation, and placement/removal of central and arterial lines
- Document patient progress accurately in Epic EMR system
- Assist with robotic lung surgeries (experience preferred but not required)
- Collaborate with surgical team, nurses, and staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Contribute to patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for adult patients
What You Need: - Physician Assistant license in Wisconsin
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 1-2 years of prior cardiothoracic surgery experience, including first-assist roles
- Valid DEA license
- Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular surgical procedures and patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
