Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant Locum Opportunity

Location: Massachusetts
Setting: Inpatient / Cardiac Surgery
Schedule: Variable 12 13 hour shifts
Call: Required 2 nights per week + 1 weekend per month
EMR: Epic
Compensation: Market Rate

Opportunity Highlights

• Join a high-acuity Cardiac Surgery team supporting both the ICU and OR.

• ICU patient volume of approximately 5 10 patients per day.

• OR volume of approximately 1 2 cases per day.

• Work alongside a specialized cardiac surgery team managing complex surgical and critical care patients.

• Overtime available after scheduled shifts.

Procedures

Experience with the following is highly valued:

• Central line placement, including dialysis lines

• Arterial line placement

• Swan-Ganz procedures

• Chest tube insertion

• IABP removal

• Temporary pacing wire removal

Advanced Equipment & Technologies

Experience with:

• LVAD / HeartMate

• Impella

• VA ECMO

• IABP

• Mechanical ventilation

• Bedside ultrasound

Requirements

• Physician Assistant with cardiac surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, or critical care experience preferred

• Comfortable working in a high-acuity inpatient environment

• Willingness to participate in required OR call

• Must be willing to obtain a Massachusetts DEA and CSR

• Massachusetts PA license preferred, but not required

• Local candidates preferred; qualified travel candidates will also be considered
