We are seeking a full-time Nocturnist Physician to join St. Mary's Hospital Medicine, a growing and collaborative hospital-based practice serving patients at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Georgia. Position Details

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care during nighttime hours for hospitalized adult patients
  • Perform admissions, cross-coverage, patient evaluations, and overnight management of acute medical conditions
  • Collaborate closely with emergency medicine physicians, consultants, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and assist with rapid clinical decision-making and care transitions
  • Work a 7-on/7-off schedule consisting of 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with a full-time (1.0 FTE) commitment of 15 scheduled shifts per month.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
