Valley Health is seeking an experienced and collaborative clinical leader to serve as Director of Advanced Practice Providers, Surgery. This is an exceptional opportunity to combine clinical practice with system-level leadership in a well-established, hospital-employed environment. The Director will provide leadership in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices supporting APPs and other advanced practice clinicians across Valley Health.

Leadership Responsibilities

In this highly visible role, the Director will help advance quality, patient safety, clinical excellence, and patient experience while leading the development of standardized practices across the health system. Key areas of responsibility include:

• APP onboarding, orientation, and training
• Bylaws and medical staff affairs
• Regulatory compliance
• Compensation-related initiatives for employed APPs
• Support of medical staff and trustees in ensuring the competence and compliance of independently practicing APPs

This full-time position offers a unique blend of clinical practice and administrative leadership, with approximately 60% clinical responsibilities and 40% administrative responsibilities. The Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer of Valley Health’s Medical Group. Clinical experience is preferred, with a preference for candidates with a surgical background.
