Nurse Practitioner - Surgery

Health First Medical Group is seeking a flexible, clinically skilled Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support acute general surgery needs across our hospital network on Florida’s Space Coast.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who enjoys a dynamic hospital-based environment, evaluating acute surgical concerns, and collaborating with physicians to provide timely, high-quality patient care. With multiple shifts available that vary based on coverage needs, this role offers flexibility while making a meaningful impact across Health First hospitals.

Position Highlights

• Per diem opportunity with multiple shifts available based on departmental needs

• Provide coverage across Health First hospitals

• Evaluate and assist with acute general surgery issues presenting through the Emergency Department

• Collaborate with general surgeons, hospital teams, and other healthcare professionals

• Support timely assessment, treatment planning, and coordination of care for patients with acute surgical concerns

• Work in a dynamic hospital environment with a variety of clinical presentations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

• Current Florida licensure and applicable national certification

• Relevant clinical experience in general surgery, acute care, emergency medicine, or a related hospital-based specialty preferred

• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Ability to adapt to varying shift needs and provide coverage across multiple hospital locations
