MedStar St. Marys Hospital has received a grant from Marylands Rural Health Transformation Program and is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner and self- starter to see patients in a Mobile Medical Unit, with 2 exam rooms, across St. Marys County.
The provider will need to possess the following characteristics for this position, in order to be successful in this program:
- Be an out -of the-box thinker
- Have an understanding and willingness to work with vulnerable and unique populations in the county
- Experienced- Not a new graduate, as it is a solo practice
- Develop workflows and procedures for the clinic in line with MedStars ambulatory and outpatient practices and policies.
Support staff includes: Medical Director, Medical Assistant, Social Worker, Health Educator, Community Health Worker, Driver.
Compensation:
Salary range: $135,000-$150,000 annually
Incentive Compensation: 5-year commitment for any incentive money, including signing bonus. ( Under State of Maryland Health Department guidelines)
Student loan repayment funding: As a Health Profession Shortage Area (HPSA) by federal government, Student Loan repayment programs may be accessed through State of Maryland.
Start Date: by January 2027
