Physician - Anesthesiology

Carle Health is seeking new graduate and experienced CRNAs to join Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. Practice in a Level I Trauma Center with a collaborative anesthesia team and opportunities to develop specialty expertise.

Opportunity Highlights

• More than 25 CRNA openings, primarily at Carle Foundation Hospital.
• Full-time, W-2 employment; 1.0 FTE preferred, with 0.9 and 0.8 FTE options available.
• Eight-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts at CFH.
• Additional 16- and 24-hour shift options within the OB team.
• Collaborative medical direction model with approximately four CRNAs per anesthesiologist.
• Department includes approximately 85 CRNA FTEs and 16 full-time anesthesiologists.
• Anesthesiologist in-house 24/7, anesthesia technician support, and Epic EMR.

Schedule and call responsibilities vary by assignment. CFH CRNAs generally work approximately one weekend per month and one holiday per year. Home second call is approximately once weekly for those working 10- and 12-hour schedules, excluding the OB team. A day off is guaranteed following in-house or home call.

Opportunities are available to work with students and participate in engagement committees and process improvement initiatives.

Specialty team participation—including OB, cardiac, pediatrics, and neonatal care—is optional. Additional orientation is provided for specialty assignments. Cardiac team participation includes additional call responsibilities.
