LOCUMS Interventional Cardiologist Needed in Roanoke Rapids, NC

 ECU Health North Hospital and ECU Health Heart and Vascular Care-Roanoke Rapids are seeking a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide locums coverage for their established cardiovascular program located in Roanoke Rapids, NC.  Applicants should be interventional fellowship trained.  Provider must have at least 2 years of post-fellowship experience.

New providers are required to orient day before first shift.

Coverage needed:

• 11/16 7am-11/23 at 7am
• 11/30 7am-12/7 at 7 am
• 12/14 7am– 0101/27 7am

Clinic Schedule Monday-Friday 8am-5pm 

Overnight hospital call as assigned

Highlights include:

• Hospital privileges at ECU North Hospital
• Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities to include seeing patients in clinic, inpatient and ED consults, diagnostic and interventional cath, echo reading, and nuclear stress testing
• Clinical care breakdown: Outpatient 25%/ Inpatient 75%
• Avg total inpatient census: 6-10
• No ICU responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• General breadth of INTERVENTIONAL Cardiology services
• Frequently review Epic system “in basket” as new results and messages have accumulated

• Cardiac Cath
• TEE
• ILR
• Inpatient and emergency department consults
