Cardiologist – Electrophysiology / Device Procedures

Position Overview

Cayuga Health is seeking a Cardiologist with experience in cardiac device procedures, including pacemaker, implantable loop recorder, and ICD implantation, to join the Cayuga Heart & Vascular Center.

This position offers an outpatient-focused practice with dedicated hospital procedure time, established clinical support, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience practicing in both outpatient and hospital settings and be comfortable working collaboratively with advanced practice providers.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• 36 hours of patient-facing clinical time per week
• 4 hours of administrative time per week
• Light General Cardiology Call Anticipated

Clinical Responsibilities

The physician will provide comprehensive cardiology care with an emphasis on cardiac rhythm management and device procedures, including:

• Evaluation and management of cardiology patients
• Pacemaker implantation
• Implantable loop recorder insertion
• ICD implantation
• Cardiac device follow-up and monitoring
• Interpretation of cardiac diagnostic testing
• Inpatient and outpatient cardiology care
• Collaboration with APPs and other members of the cardiovascular team

Procedures & Technology

The practice has access to a broad range of cardiovascular diagnostic capabilities, including:

• EKG
• Echocardiography
• Nuclear stress testing
• Exercise stress testing
• Holter monitoring
• Cardiac device checks

The physician will have dedicated procedure block time at the hospital for cardiac device procedures. Opportunity to perform right sided ablations at sister hospital.
