Position Information:

The New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS), Albuquerque NM, is recruiting an experienced Board Certified / Board Eligible Anesthesiologist with Cardiothoracic Anesthesia training, experience and qualification to join our healthcare surgical service team. NMVAHCS is a Level 1 tertiary 310-bed referral center located in the heart of the Land of Enchantment, with a major teaching program affiliated with the University of New Mexico School Of Medicine. Selected candidate will be considered for a faculty appointment commensurate with her/his training and experience, and should enjoy a cooperative, friendly and professional work environment. The OR Anesthesiologist will perform the full-scope of General and Surgical Anesthesiology, including regional anesthesia, ultrasound guided techniques, transesophageal echocardiography and full range of perioperative care. 

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must possess Current Active US Medical License
  • Must be Board Certified / Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology a definite plus
