Fellowship-Trained Hip & Knee Total Joint Replacement Orthopedic Surgeon

Mercy Health, the largest healthcare system in Ohio and ranked among the top 20% of health systems nationally for clinical quality and efficiency, is seeking a fellowship-trained Hip & Knee Total Joint Replacement Orthopedic Surgeon to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a high-volume ambulatory orthopedic practice with a strong internal referral network and expand services across Northwest Ohio.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Develop a thriving ambulatory orthopedic practice with a built-in referral base.
- Perform a mix of primary and revision total joint replacements (hip & knee), with some general orthopedic cases to supplement volume.
- Provide at least 7 days of call coverage per month at a community-based Mercy Health hospital.
- Engage in teaching as Orthopedic Clinical Faculty, mentoring residents through hands-on training, didactic education, and multidisciplinary conferences.
- Collaborate with an established inpatient and outpatient total joint replacement program featuring:
- Multidisciplinary team led by Orthopedic Coordinators
- 70% same-day discharge (SDD) rate for outpatient total joint replacements
- Preoperative total joint replacement class
- Patient IQ platform for patient-reported outcomes, engagement, and research
- Dedicated Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Physical Therapy team
- Robust TJR supply chain partners ensuring the best patient outcomes.
Additional Services & Support:
- Orthopedic residency program with clinical and research infrastructure
- Outpatient PM&R and Pain Management services
- Inpatient Rehab Unit staffed by Mercy Health physiatrists.
- Research opportunities available with dedicated support.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship-trained in Hip & Knee Total Joint Replacement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for teaching and patient-centered care
